Laurel and J. Percy Priest Water Supply Reallocation Study
This water supply reallocation study was conducted for the Nashville District
of the Corps of Engineers. The objective was to determine the impacts upon
hydropower generation due to water supply withdrawals at two Corps of Engineers
hydropower projects located in the Cumberland River Basin of Kentucky and
Tennessee.
The study evaluated the impacts of the withdrawals on power generation at the
Laurel and J. Percy Priest projects as well as other downstream projects. The
analysis included computation of power benefits forgone, power revenues forgone,
and credit to the Federal Power Marketing Agency.
