This homepage is temporarily maintained
by the U.S. Corps of Engineers (CoE) as a courtesy to EPA and other US
and Canadian Entities (NMFS, USBR, BPA, USGS, WA-DOE, NPPC, BC Hydro, Environment
Canada, First Indian Nations, Spokane Tribes, etc.) for the purpose of
sharing TDG-related information. This international effort is viewed as
a first step toward ecosystem-based management of TDG in the Columbia River
Basin, as agreed to at the April 27-30, 1998 International Conference and
Workshop held in Castlegar, British Columbia. The stated goal of this effort
is, "On a systemwide basis, to reduce total
dissolved gas in the most cost-effective manner for all aquatic life".
