Coordinated operation of Corps of Engineers' dams and reservoirs in the Columbia River Basin is part of measures designed to halt and reverse the declines of endangered Snake River salmon stocks and other declining Pacific salmon stocks. The information provided below is used in that context by the Technical Management Team (TMT), an inter-agency technical group responsible for making recommendations on dam and reservoir operations (see TMT Introduction/Background). The Corps representative chairs the TMT.
